The head feels a bit heavier which I preferred; feel at impact is solid and easier to control.
Hey folks, Merry Christmas and have a Happy and safe New Year. May the New Year brings you better golf swing! :)

The Taylormade Sldr line is definitely a winner in my book...I consistently hit it straighter and longer than my previous R1 440cc...the trick to this head is to get properly fitted for the right shafts that helps you elevate the ball without forcing it...

I want to relate a story that happened about two weeks ago. My nephew who is a 20 year old flat belly went out with us to play since he was back from college and had not played since it was snowed in and frozen at his current alma mater. Needless to say he had not played in a while.
But whenever we play he is usually 30-50 yards by me off the tee.
Because of the narrowness of the course we were playing i kept the headcover on the driver and used a strong 3 SLDR 3wd.
On the first "green light" par 4. He didn't flush his drive and I was even with him. On the next par 5, he got every piece of his drive and was only 12 yards ahead of me in the fairway.
I know its not scientific, but I finally have something that i can seriously consider keeping in the bag. The 3wd has been in rotation for a while. Maybe finally the rotation will stop.

Friday, played at Miramar golf course, north of San Diego; last hole normally plays tough, long par 4 (441 ydrs) hit a 300 yards drive and used #9 iron (Mizuno JPX EZ forged) for my second shot, landed about 8 ft and birdied the hole (first time I birdied this hole) love my SLRD driver. Been driving really well this driver and hitting very well with the rest of my SLDR clubs (F/W #3, Hybdrids #3 & #4). I am now 61 years old, hope to play like this for several more years, hitting long and accurate. :)
Happy Golfing!!

Playing it at 10.5 and 1 click on the sldr weight to fade; got the sldr weight to this position for feel purposes. It seems to me when the weight is in this position, it's more on the center of the face as oppose neutral. BTW, my shaft is a reg. flex.

I've definitely benefited from lofting up. I used to play 9-9.5* and now am playing 10.5* in my SLDR with ideal numbers on the Flightscope. Can't be happier! :D
For the love of the game
